Good question. Without x-rays or a colonostomy how can anybody tell, even doctors?
The hydrocortisone usually comes with an applicator and if you follow the instructions, you should be alright.

Thank you for coming to look at my page on internal Hemorrhoids. I have suffered from both internal and external, but actually found it hard to find information on my internal piles, so I created this site.

Really the only test you have for the internal hemorrhoids is if the bleeding stops. You will only know this of course if the cream cure the external ones as well.
