Are you looking for alternative methods to treat and cure hemorrhoids? Visiting your doctor isn’t the only way you can treat hemorrhoids, however, many people think that the only way to cure them is by visiting your doctor. There are many more safe and alternative ways that can relieve or completely cure hemorrhoids altogether that don’t require potentially harmful medication or surgery. This is good for those who’d like to try alternatives to getting rid of hemorrhoids and would prefer not to opt for surgery unless there was no other solution. Three simple ways you can treat hemorrhoids at home are by using a cold compress, watching what you eat and making sure you diet is right or through over the counter medicine if nothing else has worked.

Believe it or not but by simply applying a cold press to the affected area is one simple and extremely effective way to treat hemorrhoids by yourself at home. This is great for those who would prefer to avoid visiting their local pharmacy and want a completely natural way to cure their hemorrhoids without the use of any drugs. The cold causes the veins to shrink and helps blood circulation. This can be effectively applied to both internal and external hemorrhoids, however, applying this to internal hemorrhoids will require a special device. However, always remember that this is only for temporary relief. If you have a serious case of hemorrhoids you will need to use alternative methods or visit your doctor.

Are you eating right? An ounce of prevention is worth a ton of cure. This holds true when it comes to the treatment and cure of hemorrhoids. This natural way to treat hemorrhoids is focused more on the long term and prevention of hemorrhoids; nevertheless you should make sure you have as much fiber in your diet as possible. Fiber helps to keep your stool soft and makes it easier for your bowel contents to move through your colon. Fiber is most effective when water is ingested, so be sure that you are drinking about six to eight glasses of water every day. Fruit is a great source of fiber and apples, peaches, pears and tangerines are just a few choices you may want to consider if you need to add some extra fiber into your daily diet. Making sure you have enough fiber helps to address any problematic bowel issues that may be causing or making your hemorrhoids even worse.

If you’d prefer to just not visit your local doctor, there are several brands of over the counter medicines that can be used to treat hemorrhoids at home. The most effective are Preparation H and Proctosedyl. These can be purchased with the need of a prescription and are available almost everywhere. However, it is strongly recommended that you try the above alternative methods. You must discover that they work for you and help to alleviate or even completely cure your hemorrhoids.

I just got off of prednisone and i spit up a tiny bit of blood yesterday and had specks of blood in my stool/on the toilet paper and some stinging of the butt, then today i had some mucus like stuff in my stool and some specks of blood still on the toilet paper,my doctor says that prednisone can do that to you,but i was wondering if anyone had any other ideas of what it could be because i have some of the symptoms as of hemroids but im only 17,and im also worried that it could be internal bleeding but if it was wouldnt there be more than just specs of blood on the toilet paper?

if the bleeding was internal the blood would be dark, almost black, not bright red. have you had diarrhea or constipation? that could explain the mucus and the stinging.i don’t think it’s internal but i would see a doctor.

This clip demonstrates a normal colonoscopy and starts in the terminal ileum where the delicate villous architecture is well seen. The colonoscope is withdrawn into cecum. Here at the base of the cecum is the orifice of the appendix. In the tissue surrounding the appendiceal orifice, a speckled pattern of lymphoid aggregates can often be seen. During the colonoscopy, the endoscopist both insufflates the lumen of the colon with air and aspirates the small amount of liquid that remains from the preparation previously taken by the patient to cleanse the colon. The liquid often has a slightly yellowish tinge of bile. Backing out of the cecum, a better view of the ileocecal valve is obtained. It has a rounded slightly yellowish appearance. Traveling down the colon, a repeating pattern of pouches and folds are seen. These pouches are called haustra and the folds are referred to as the plicae semilunares or simply the semilunar folds. A word about the colonic tissue itself. The white dots seen throughout the exam are reflections of the colonoscope’s light off the tissues and back into the viewing lens. Normally the tissue has this glistening pink hue. Also visible is the delicate vascular plexus of capillaries that nurture the colonic mucosa. Here in the sigmoid colon, the earliest signs of diverticulosis are visible. These are outpouchings of the mucosa through the muscular layers of the colon and are seen commonly starting in the fifth decade of life. More dramatic examples can be found in other clips on the DAVE Project. At the of the exam, in the rectal vault, the colonoscope is retroflexed to provide a complete view of the anal verge where small tumors and internal hemorrhoids may be found.

I think I have internal hemroids that are blocking me from making a bowel movement….Internal hemroids bleed & I bleed sometimes with them, sometimes, that’s all that comes out is blood. I know an enima isn’t safe during pregnancy, so what could be done for internal hemroids during pregnancy? They’re making my BM’s impossible, & my doctors office is now closed, so I can’t call & ask anything. They’re strict at the hospital & won’t give out any information, is what the lady told me when I called….
My worse fear is that I’ll have to have a schedualed c-section, due to this problem. What are the chances of that happening?
I’m 32 weeks & 5 days, so I’m almost 33 weeks….
Sorry for all the questions, sometimes, you’s are my only hope in my crazy day to day schedual

If you are not able to have bowel movements or are bleeding intensely then that is not a trivial problem.

But please don’t assume at this stage that the problem is related to your pregnancy and that you will need a c-section. Pregnancy does sometimes cause constipation and that could lead to hemorrhoids. But I have never heard or read of people having to have emergency c-sections due to that. So your pregnancy will not be affected.

However, it is still a problem that needs to be dealt with asap.

So, if your ob-gyn doctor is not available to help you out then my friendly suggestion to you would be to go to urgent care or even the emergency room.

Also good ob-gyn practices generally have a nurse helpline or a doctor on call even when the office is closed to help pregnant women with emergency problems. It is not a good sign if your ob-gyn clinic does not have that. So you might also want to consider looking for a new ob-gyn practice. If they can’t help you with a problem like this what is the guarantee that they will be there to support you whole-heartedly when you are in labor.

Good luck.
